The Best Walk in the Lake District?

Well if not the best then it must surely figure in the top 10. I'm talking about the 7-mile hike along the cliff tops from St Bees to Whitehaven. It's got all the elements that any dedicated walker could wish for. Lush countryside on one side and terrific seascapes on the other, all complemented by a fascinating variety of both flora and fauna.
However, this is not a walk for the fainthearted. Although the path is well marked, it can be tricky in parts, particularly when it passes rather to close for comfort to the cliff edge where drops of hundreds of feet are not uncommon. That being said, common sense and concentration will get you past these scary bits - And let me tell you, it's well worth it!
